RALEIGH – Jone Buadromo from Bayboro won a $100,000 prize playing Powerball, but he delayed collecting it for almost two months because he wanted to tell his wife the good news on her birthday.

“I waited until the end of May because I wanted to surprise her on her birthday with the win,” Buadromo said.

LANSING, Mich. – A Royal Oak woman is still in a daze after winning a $500,000 Powerball prize from the Michigan Lottery. 

Deborah Berschbach, 54, matched the five white balls – 14-22-38-56-60– in the May 7 Powerball Double Play drawing to win a $500,000 prize. She bought her winning ticket at Star Market, located at 1806 West 13 Mile Road in Royal Oak.

RALEIGH – A group of eight FedEx workers teamed up several years ago with hopes of winning a big lottery prize, and their dreams came true Monday when they won $2 million in the Powerball drawing.

RALEIGH – A tradition of playing the lottery together as a group led to 22 people winning $100,000 playing Powerball on April 2.

“She’s very excited to go,” Coleman said about his daughter. “We’ll probably go this summer.”

Salem, Ore. – Little did Jimmy Wilburn Jr. know he’d been sitting on a $50,000 Powerball prize for six months.

“I don’t play much, but I knew I had some Powerball tickets in my billfold, and I thought I should check them,” the Rainier man said.

On Jan. 20, 2022, Wilburn went to the store to see if he had any winners. Indeed, he did, as one of those tickets Wilburn bought way back on Aug. 12, 2021, was a $50,000 winner!
