8/28/2005	Powerball Game Change	The Powerball matrix is changed from (5/53 + 1/42) to (5/55 + 1/42). The Power Play wheel is changed from 15 to 16 slots with the 2-5 multipliers occupying 4 slots each.

9/5/2001	New Retailer Record!	Kentucky reported the largest retailer bonus in lottery history -- $454,959 Bonus awarded to Clark's Pump-n-Shop in Westwood, Kentucky.

11/2/1997	Powerball Game Changes	The Powerball game's matrix was changed from 5/45 + 1/45 to 5/49 + 1/42. The annuity period was changed from 20 to 25 years and a new cash option feature was added.

8/23/1997	Remote Draw	The Powerball drawing broadcast live from the Kentucky State Fair in Louisville, Kentucky.

6/16/1997	IN Joins Daily Millions	The Hoosier Lottery joined in selling the Daily Millions game

6/15/1997	Daily Millions Changes Draw Time	The draw time for the Daily Millions drawing was changed from 7:29 p.m. Eastern Time to 9:46 p.m. Eastern Time.

4/6/1997	NH Joins Daily Millions	The New Hampshire Lottery will join in selling the Daily Millions game.

3/16/1997	LA Joins Daily Millions	The Louisiana Lottery will join in selling the Daily Millions game.

8/31/1996	GA leaves Powerball	The Georgia Lottery Corporation stops selling the Powerball game and joins some other lottery game.

8/17/1996	Remote Draw	The Powerball drawing broadcast live from the Kentucky State Fair in Louisville, Kentucky.

7/20/1996	Remote Draws	The Powerball game does five live remote drawings from the Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. Last remote draw: August 3rd.

6/8/1996	Ball sets replaced	The white numbered balls, which have been used for Multi-State Lottery drawing since the LOTTO*AMERICA game started in 1988, have been replaced. The four old ball sets (numbered 1 through 4) were retired from service on Wednesday, June 5, 1996. The new white ball sets (numbered 5 through 8) were placed in service for the drawing on Saturday, June 8, 1996. The red ball sets, which were purchased new for the Powerball game have not been changed. The red ball sets are still numbered 1 through 4.
