JOHNSTON, Iowa – In the Powerball® drawing held Wednesday, April 29, 2026, there were two winning jackpot tickets, splitting the $143.4 million prize. Winning tickets were from the Hoosier (Indiana) Lottery and Kansas Lottery.
It was a Night of Millionaires!
Nationwide, 62 tickets matched all five white balls. The winning Match 5 tickets were sold in 17 states, including: Arkansas, Arizona, California, Georga, Illinois, Indiana (Hoosier), Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The Match 5 prize is a set cash prize of $1 million except in California, where prize payout amounts are pari-mutuel and determined by sales and the number of winners.
There were 27 tickets that matched all five white balls and, because the players added the Power Play® option for $1 more, the $1 million prize increased to $2 million for each ticket. These tickets were sold in 12 states, including: Arkansas, Illinois, Hoosier (Indiana), Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, and Wisconsin.
“What a night for Powerball players! We are thrilled with these exciting draw results!” said Matt Strawn, Powerball Chair. “Thank you to all our players, and congratulations to the ticketholders who woke up millionaires!”
Players who select their own Powerball numbers often create patterns when using playslips. In this case the winning white ball numbers were in a singular column on many lottery playslips. As players are coming forward to claim their millions, we are learning that many used that very pattern as their special way of picking their winning numbers.
As always, the Powerball drawing was completed with the presence of an independent auditing firm which reviews and confirms compliance with all draw and security protocols.
The winning numbers in the Wednesday, Apr. 29 drawing were white balls 03, 19, 35, 51, 67 and red Powerball 15. The Power Play® multiplier was 2.
Powerball® tickets are $2 per play. Tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. More than half of all proceeds from the sale of a Powerball ticket remain in the jurisdiction where the ticket was sold. Since its first drawing in 1992, the Powerball game has helped generate more than $38 billion for good causes supported by U.S. lotteries.
Powerball drawings are broadcast live every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET from the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee, Fla. Powerball drawings are also live streamed on Powerball.com. The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 24.9. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
