South Bend resident Ryan Gorski and his wife of 28 years had just gotten home after buying a new bass guitar for his wife to learn to play. While she strummed the new guitar, Ryan was busy transferring items from his old wallet to his new one when he stopped to scan a few Powerball® tickets he had on the table.
“Uh, oh,” Ryan gasped after scanning one ticket.
“What? What is it?” his wife asked.
Barely able to get the words out, Ryan told his wife that they had just won $50,000. He then texted their adult children on the family group chat about the win. They were all very excited for their parents.
Ryan had always dreamed of winning a big prize playing Powerball and buys tickets every week in hopes this day would come. Ryan and his wife plan to buy a car and take a trip to Disney World and Universal Studios in Florida for their anniversary with the prize money.
