LANSING, Mich., April 30, 2026 – A Livonia man couldn’t help but scream when he found out he’d won a $150,000 Powerball prize from the Michigan Lottery!
Scott Stelow, 58, matched four white balls and the Powerball – 08-23-25-40-53, PB: 05 – in the Sept. 1, 2025, drawing to win a $50,000 prize. Thanks to the Power Play, the prize was multiplied to $150,000. He bought his winning ticket online at MichiganLottery.com.
“I occasionally play Powerball and happened to buy a ticket online over Labor Day weekend,” said Stelow. “It was 4:30 a.m. and I was in my car about to head to work after the long holiday weekend when I saw an email from the Lottery.
“I logged into my account and couldn’t help but scream when I saw I’d won $150,000! I still ended up going to work, but didn’t tell anyone except my wife and mom later that day.”
Stelow recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim his prize. With his winnings, he plans to pay bills, take a trip, and save for retirement.
