LANSING, Mich., Jan. 8, 2026 – An email from the Michigan Lottery led a Washtenaw County man to finding out he’d won a $1 million Powerball prize!
Brian Bauer, of Saline, matched the five white balls in the Dec. 10 drawing to win the big prize: 10-16-29-33-69. He bought his winning ticket online at MichiganLottery.com.
“I usually buy a few Powerball tickets online every week,” said Bauer. “After the drawing, I saw an email from the Michigan Lottery that said to log in to my account to view my prize, and I was shocked because I knew it meant I must have won big.
“When I logged in and saw $1 million pending in my account, I was so excited! Winning a prize like this takes the pressure off and I’m grateful that I will be able to share it with the people I love.”
Bauer, 69, recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim his prize. He plans to share his winnings with family and friends.
