The Powerball® jackpot is nearing billion-dollar territory after no ticket matched all six numbers drawn last night. The jackpot for Wednesday’s drawing has grown to an estimated $975 million, with an estimated cash value of $422.3 million.
Wednesday’s jackpot ranks as the eighth-largest prize in Powerball history and the largest Powerball jackpot so far in 2026. If the jackpot continues to roll, it will become the game’s next billion-dollar prize.
The winning numbers in the Monday, Aug. 10 drawing were white balls 6, 37, 54, 55, 64 and red Powerball 10. The Power Play® multiplier was 3.
Although there was no jackpot winner, lotteries are reminding players to check their tickets carefully, as many tickets won cash prizes in last night’s drawing.
Two tickets sold in California and Maryland matched all five white balls to win the Match 5 prize. The Match 5 prize is a set cash prize of $1 million, except in California where prize payouts are pari-mutuel and determined by sales and the number of winners. Another ticket sold in Tennessee matched all five white balls and, because it included the Power Play option for an additional $1, increased its winnings to $2 million.
In the Double Play® drawing, two tickets sold in Colorado and New Jersey won $500,000 prizes after matching all five black balls. Double Play is a $1 add-on feature that allows players to play their Powerball numbers again in a separate drawing for a chance to win up to $10 million. Wednesday’s drawing will be the 44th consecutive drawing in the current jackpot run. The Powerball jackpot was last won on May 2, when two tickets in Florida and Texas split a $20 million jackpot.
Game leaders emphasized that proceeds from every $2 ticket sold during this jackpot run are helping support local communities where those tickets are purchased.

If a player from a participating U.S. lottery wins the jackpot, they may choose to receive the prize as an annuity, paid in 30 graduated payments over 29 years, or as a lump-sum payment. Both prize options are before taxes.
Powerball tickets cost $2 per play and are sold in 45 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands and the United Kingdom.
More than half of every $2 Powerball ticket purchase remains in the jurisdiction where it is sold, helping fund public programs and services that benefit local communities. Since 1992, Powerball has generated an estimated $38 billion for good causes, including education and scholarships, veteran services, parks and recreation, and more.
