The Powerball® jackpot has increased to an estimated $448 million for the Wednesday, March 13 drawing, after no ticket matched all six numbers drawn Saturday night. The estimated cash option is $271.7 million.

“The time has sprung forward in most of the country, and now Powerball has sprung forward to an exciting $448 million!” said David Barden, Powerball Product Group Chairman and New Mexico Lottery CEO. “Now is the time to purchase a chance at Wednesday’s jackpot.”

The advertised Powerball jackpot has not been above the $400 million mark since last October when two winning tickets split a $687.8 million jackpot.

March is Problem Gambling Awareness Month, and participating lotteries are reminding players to know their limits and play responsibly.

“This month is an opportunity for Powerball participating lotteries to reaffirm our year-round commitment to responsible play,” said Barden. “Lottery games are designed to be entertainment. If the games stop being fun, then there are resources across America that can help.”

The Powerball jackpot was last hit in New York in the December 26 drawing. Since then, there have been 21 drawings in a row without a jackpot winner.

The winning numbers in Saturday’s drawing were white balls 5, 6, 45, 55, 59, plus Powerball 14, and Power Play multiplier 3X.

Two tickets matched all five white balls, but missed matching the red Powerball in Saturday’s drawing to win a $1 million prize. Those tickets were sold in Indiana and Maryland. In total, there were more than 1.3 million winning tickets across all prize tiers.

Powerball tickets are $2 per play. Players can multiply non-jackpot prizes with the Power Play® option for an additional $1 per play. Tickets are sold in 44 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Drawings are held every Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET.

A portion of every Powerball ticket sold directly benefits the jurisdiction in which it was purchased.
