“I played Powerball® with Double® Play® and couldn’t believe it when I won $50,000!” said Emery K. of Somerset County.
Emery, who had purchased the winning ticket at Sheetz in Windber for the May 4, 2024, drawing, said that he couldn’t wait to tell his son the great news.
“I yelled to him to come over and confirm it was a winner,” he said. “It was late in the evening when I checked my ticket, so I had to stare at it a while.”
Emery said he couldn’t believe it.
“I think I’ll use the prize money to pay for a nice vacation and do some updates around the house,” he added.
