Westmoreland County Player Wins $50,000 on Pennsylvania Lottery Powerball® Ticket

“I was driving home from work one night and I was on the phone with my dad, and he said, ‘Did you see the jackpot was $1.3 billion?’ So, I went to a store and bought a ticket using Quick Pick and went home to go to bed,” said James O. of Westmoreland County. The next day, James got a surprise when he scanned his Powerball® ticket. “It said claim form required. I got excited and said, ‘I won something big,’” said James. Five PA players matched four of the five numbers and the Powerball in that April 3, 2024, drawing, each receiving $50,000. James was one of them. “It was exciting. I was in shock! I couldn’t believe it,” said James. “It was awesome, I told my dad. He was like, “Are you serious? Are you messing with me? Is this an April Fools’ Joke?’” James said he plans to buy a new truck. “You got to play to win!” he added. Congratulations, James, and thank you for playing!
